एक बार की बात है पप्पू नाम का एक व्यक्ति शादी के घर में गया हुआ था वहां पर बहुत से मीठे-मीठे गुलाब जामुन इत्यादि खाना सब्जियां बहुत सारे मीठे-मीठे पकवान बने हुए थे जब शादी खत्म होने वाली थी तो पप्पू पहले ही खाना खाने के लिए चला गया और उसने चावल निकाल लिया उस समय अन्य पकवान को बाहर नहीं किया गया था जैसे ही हुआ थोड़ा सा खाया उसके बाद देखा कि वहां पर बहुत से मीठे मीठे पकवानों को बाहर निकाल कर रख दिया जा रहा था ।
जब अपने गुलाब जामुन को देखा तब उसे गुलाब जामुन इत्यादि खाने का मन हुआ और उसने अपने चावल को कहीं रखने के लिए जगह ढूंढ रहा था तभी उसे टेंट के पीछे एक जगह मिली उसने उसे चुपचाप वहां पर रख दिया ऐसा करते हुए उसे किसी ने देखा यह सोचकर उस वह बहुत खुश था जब वह अपनी प्लेट लेकर गुलाब जामुन लाने गया और पप्पू उसी जगह पर गया जहां उसने चावल छोड़ कर आया था जब उसने उसकी प्लेट को देखा तो वह हैरान रह गया उसे एक बच्चा उस भजन को खा रहा था अप्पू ने कहा अरे बेटा तुम इस फेंके हुए भोजन को क्यों खा रहे हो तब वह लड़का गात है साहब साहब मुझे या भोजन खा लेने दो अप्पू ने कहा या भोजन तो गंदे हो गए हैं तो क्या हुआ साहब आप जैसी किस्मत हमारे पास कहां मैं 3 दिन से भूखा हूं तब अप्पू ने कहा ठीक है तुम्हारे लिए मैं गुलाब जामुन ला देता हूं तब उस लड़का ने कहा रहने दो साहब मेरे जैसे बहुत से बच्चे भूखे पेट ही सोना पड़ता है क्योंकि बहुत से ही बच्चों को खाने के लिए भोजन तक नसीब नहीं होता है आप तो बहुत नसीब वाले हैं साहब तभी अप्पू ने कहा मैं किसी नसीब वाला हो सकता हूं तब लड़का ने कहा आपको इतने अच्छे अच्छे भोजन खाने का नसीब मिल रहा है इससे अच्छा और क्या हो सकता है हम तो कई दिनों से भूखे रहते हैं अगर आप चाहे तो मेरा वजन अपने घर ले जा सकते जाता हूं क्योंकि मेरी मां मुझे जब तक नहीं खिलाती वह खुद खाना नहीं खाती और मैं 3 दिन से भूखा हूं तो मेरी मां भी भूखी ही होगी यह सुनकर अब्बू रो रो पड़ा तभी लड़का ने कहा आप क्यों रोते हैं साहब तभी लड़का ने कहा आप क्यों रोते हैं साहब रोना तो हमें चाहिए क्योंकि हमें आपके जैसे भोजन खाने का नसीब ही नहीं मिलता है

इसे यह शिक्षा मिलती है कि हमें भोजन को कभी फेंकना नहीं चाहिए और हमें उनका आदर करना चाहिए ।
