चालाक खरगोश और शेर  

               

   एक बार की बात है एक जंगल में एक दुष्ट शेर रहता था जो जंगल में रहने वाले जीव जंतुओं को अंधाधुन शिकार करके उन्हें मार डालता था ।

शेर को जीव जंतुओं का शिकार करने में बहुत मजा आता था उस शेर से सारा जंगल डरता था । सभी जानवर एक जगह इक्कठा सब होकर विचार करने लगे सभी जानवरों ने शेर की इस आसन से तंग आकर एक फैसला लिया की हम सब मिलकर सबको एक-एक करके शेर का भोजन बनना है सब जानवरों ने फैसला लिया कि अब हम शेर के पास एक-एक करके उनका भोजन बनने के लिए जाएंगे ।
इस तरह हर दिन एक जानवर शेर के पास जाता था जब खरगोश की बारी आई तो वह बहुत घबरा गया था। खरगोश बहुत ही चला था वह रास्ते में सोच रहा था कि इस शेर से कैसे बचा जाए तभी वह चलते चलते उसे एक कुआं दिखे दिया जब वह कुआं में झांका तब उसे दिखाई दिया है उसका परछाई उसे देखकर वह सोचने लगा क्यों ना शेर को इस कुआं में ही अंदर ही गिरा दिया जाए तब वह यह सोचते हुए शेर के पास गया शेर भूख से परेशान हो रहा था और गुस्से में जब जब उसने एक छोटा सा खरगोश का देखा तो उसे और बहुत गुस्सा आया और पूछा इतना देर तुम कहां पर थे तब खरगोश ने काटते हुए कहा महाराज रास्ते में मुझे आप से भी बड़े एक जानवर से मुलाकात हो गई अगर आप चाहे तो मैं उसके पास आपको ले जा सकता हूं तब शेर भूख से परेशान हो रहा था और उसने सोचा कि इस छोटे से खरगोश को खाने से मेरा पेट नहीं भरेगा इससे भी बड़ा मिल जाए तो मेरी भूख मिट जाएगी क्या सोचकर वह खरगोश के साथ चलने के लिए तैयार हो गया खरगोश शेर को उसी कुआं के पास ले गया और कहा कि महाराज वह जानवर इस कुएं के झांकी दिखाई देगा जब शेर ने कुआं में झांका तब उसे उसकी परछाई दिखाई देने लगा वहां पर से देखकर समझ ही नहीं पाया कि वहां उसकी परछाई है और वह दहाड़ ने लगने लगा तो उसकी आवाज उसी को सुनाई देने लगी शेर फिर अपना पंजा जैसे ऊपर किया तो उसका परछाई भी वैसे ही दिखाई देने लगा शेर को लगा कि यह बहुत बड़ा जानवर है वह उसको मैं में जाकर कूद गया और वहां से निकल नहीं पाया और उसकी मृत्यु हो गई और खरगोश वहां से भागकर जंगल की ओर चला गया
इससे यह शिक्षा मिलती है कि कि हमें परेशानियों के समय में  बुद्धि से काम लेना चाहिए।

   Once upon a time there used to be an evil lion in a jungle who hunted and killed the living animals in the forest blindly.
The lion used to enjoy hunting animals and the whole forest was afraid of that lion. All the animals gathered together in one place and all the animals got fed up with the lion's posture and took a decision that we all together have to become the lion's food one by one, all the animals decided that now we have one with the lion.
